HSV Sacral sores

I recently had intercourse with a woman. I noticed that she had sores on the sacral area. I did some research and found that the sores could be Herpes Simplex Virus affecting the sacral area. I am pretty concerned now... If there were no sores present around the vaginal and only the sacral area, can the virus still be transmitted to me? I did not touch the sacral sores.
